I say today was a prelude because I went shopping too. Well, I didn't buy anything but I did browse through A LOT of branded stuff. The destination? An area in downtown LA known as The Citadel. To give you guys a reference, its just like Pavilion back in KL where all the branded stuff is. The only main difference is that Pavilion is a mall with the shops inside plus air conditioning, while for Citadel all the shops are not in a big main building and are all outside. We had to walk under the hot searing sun to navigate the area.
This is like THE place to window shop man, everything is so expensive (after conversion of course). All the branded stuff are here, like Polo, Guess, Reebok, Nike, Coach, Banana Republic, Converse, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Levis, Adidas, Billabong, Quicksilver.... yeah you get the picture. I think mom would absolutely adore this place - a whole day is not going to be enough for her. And while walking around, idk why my uncle and I went into the Coach handbag shop. That's for my mom, not me >.> I wanted to buy 2 Polo shirts for 40$, THEY LOOK SO NICE! However I decided against it since my parents are coming soon :X
One of the more expensive shops - all leather items
My lunch for today was Panda Express, which is Chinese food and according to my uncle, quite popular. The portion is... rather huge. I'll just say it straight - the fried rice has no taste, I totally suffered eating it. The fried mee was still good, but the chicken was absolutely delicious. Oh, and just so you know, the medium sized drink cup here is larger than the large size cup that we get at cinemas back home.
So THAT's how you spell the pin yin for fried noodles.
Yes, the drink is medium sized ._. As in the left one.
Later we went to Fry's Electronics to look around. This is the second time I've been to a Fry's Electronics, but the one I visited today was different because ITS FREAKING HUGE! Its TWICE the size of the one I last visited - its just like a freaking warehouse. As a reference for you guys, its bigger than the warehouse part of IKEA, as in the bottom floor. I wonder why they only have Left 4 Dead instead of Left 4 Dead 2 though ._.
I'd say maybe this is 5 to 10% of the entire place?
Towards the exit there were these claw cranes, you know, the game machine with a claw that you use and usually fail to grab a stuffed plushie? Yeah, those. Apparently there was one machine that had like iPads, iPhones, Beats headphones - SUPER expensive stuff, but its not a claw version. Idk how to explain the game, but a dude tried to operate the machine twice and he failed. Not happening buddy, no way they give those so easily. There was even one with lots of MP4 players in it. I wonder if they're even real to begin with.
So I guess that's it. Oh and before I go, JALAPENO!!!
Just being random. My aunt planted this.
